Getting to the Island of Jersey

Getting to the Island

Jersey is a unique location. Nestled in the English Channel , 90 miles from the Uk and just 20 miles from the French coast. It's the largest of the Channel Islands and is accessible by plane from locations across the UK including London Gatwick,City and Luton, Southampton, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, Norwich and by boat from Poole and Portsmouth. You can also reach it by boat from the French coast at St Malo.

Travelling around the Island

Once you're on-island, travel is easy. Whether you choose to use public transport, rent a car or bike or walk around, at just 45 square miles, nowhere is far away. Local bus operator Liberty Bus running an efficient service around the Island to all the major attractions. Local taxi ranks at the airport and harbour will be able to take you to your accommodation or anywhere on the island and the island is covered with a network of cycle routes.

Getting to the Weekender Festival site

Cycling.

What better way to get to the site than a cycle through Jersey's beautiful countryside. It's just 28 minutes from St Helier on the way there and 20 minutes on the way home. Click to see the route on google here

Green coach travel

We're conscious of minimising our environmental impact and will be encouraging Weekenders to make use of our shuttle coaches that run from St Helier to the site in the parish of Trinity on both days. When the party is over, our shuttle coaches will be on hand to take you back to town.

Car Parking

There will be limited parking at the Festival site so if you do plan on bringing your vehicle be sure to arrive early and follow the parking signs. This year we will be offering an incentive for people that bring a full car.

Local Bus Service

Liberty Bus run a daily schedule to the Parish of Trinity, check here for up to date timetable.

Local Taxis

There are a number of Taxi ranks in St Helier where you can hail a local cab; at Liberation Square, Snow Hill and around town. If you want to be more organised, we also have a number of private firms with whom you can arrange transport.

Liberty Cabs – 767700 | Luxicabs – 887000 | Yellow Cabs - 888888
